Publication Instructions
The proceedings of the meeting will be published by Kluwer as part of the IAU Symposium Series. All contributed papers will be refereed before acceptance for publication. The agreement between Kluwer and the IAU stipulates that the volume shall not exceed 500 pages. In order to meet this restriction we must enforce the following page limits -
In order to expedite the publication process and to meet the publishers deadline, we must ask all authors to submit contributions electronically in LaTeX format. Accompanying figures must be provided as separate files in ENCAPSULATED POSTSCRIPT (level 2 or higher).
Please submit the papers by ftp to
haven.stsci.edu (130.167.1.157) /iau_symp_179/proceedings/submissions
(username= anon_iau password= guest)
Please name the files using the following convention -
principleauthor_papernumber.tex
principleauthor_papernumber_figurenumber.ps
e.g.
mclean_1.tex mclean_1_figure1.ps mclean_1_figure2.ps (for 1st paper)
mclean_2.tex mclean_2_figure1.ps mclean_2_figure2.ps (for 2nd paper)
LaTeX templates in the style and format required by the IAU can be found in the directory /iau_symp_179/proceedings/iau_style. If you have any problems retrieving the files or in getting them to work, please contact the principle editor at mclean@stsci.edu.
If you wish to include any colour plates in the proceedings this may
be arranged with the publisher but there will be an additional page
charge that will be passed on to you. Please contact the editors if
you wish additional details.
The Editors would appreciate the prompt submission of papers
and the ABSOLUTE DEADLINE for papers to be included in the
Proceedings is September 30, 1996.
Each registered participant will receive a copy of the Proceedings when published
